Camille Cooks Website

A trained chef, Camille enjoys collecting and testing recipes from books, magazines, and blogs. Several years ago, she set up an online food diary to chroncle what she’s cooked and how it worked. I have been photographing the finished — and delicious — work since the site’s launch.

In 2012, I designed a new CamilleCooks site that better matched Camille’s personality. Starting with an existing WordPress theme from WPShower, the new site incorporates larger graphics and brighter colors throughout, including on a bold image slider on the home page. I chose a favorite font — Rokkit, Google Web Font’s version of Rockwell — that’s both stronger and easier to read. Plug-ins focusing on social media and related posts have helped improve the site’s flexibility.

Using my new logo for the site, I designed business cards for CamilleCooks, each with a unique photo of mine.

Readership has been growing as Camille tests new recipes every week. I continue to photograph her outstanding work for the site, as shown in a portfolio of my images for the site.
