The New York League of Conservation Voters regularly endorses candidates for local and state office. Often, these endorsements come with little notice, so print materials — especially advertising for community newspapers — have to be easily adaptable to different ad sizes and locales for postcards.

Using simple, bold text and my own photos, these print/mail campaigns in 2004 and 2005 succeeded across several primary and general elections, as well as two languages. Ads appeared in newspapers throughout the state, while postcards were sent to the League’s various mailing lists.
